Field2Base, headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, is dedicated to delivering mobile applications that solve real business needs.

Field2Base provides an integrated, highly scaleable mobile communications capability designed for use by field personnel regardless of industry. Called Field2Base, the system can be used by all field personnel from non-computer users to the most sophisticated. The system is designed to significantly reduce delays in solving site issues, provide a mobile repository of all job documentation (specifications, forms, CAD drawings, reports, product catalogs, etc.) at latest revision level, provide real-time updating, reduce unclear and misunderstood communications, automate reporting and site ordering functions, provide an electronic "paper trail" of all site issues among its many uses.

The end point of the system is a Tablet PC that presents the user a "pen and paper" look and feel with handwrite annotation capability for any digital document. The Tablet PC and Field2Base software makes learning the system an easy process as it mimics the form factor of pen to paper or the trusted "yellow pad". Similar to the laptop computer, the Tablet PC is capable of storing a vast amount of files, addendums, modifications, drawings etc while giving the user "walk around" access to all necessary documents. The unit comes with digital photo capability for both documentation and highlighting of specific issues and allows the user to easily annotate any digital photo. Field2Base is also used to automate data capture via automated processing of form data collected in the field. Form data can be pushed wirelessly to users and then completed in the field and wireless sent back to the home office.
